Frequently Asked Questions
what do we mean by first ranking debenture stock?
A: A debenture is a registered charge over the assets of a company, much the same way as when you take out a loan for a house, the lender (Bank) has security (mortgage) over the financed property. When you invest in UDC First Ranking Debenture Stock you, as the investor, have security rights over the assets of UDC Finance through the charge registered in favour of the trustee for stockholders, ranking in priority to UDC's unsecured creditors, but behind any prior charges and creditors having priority at law.
does udc charge any investment fees?
A: There are no fees or charges made by UDC when you invest. UDC meets all management and brokerage fees. An interest rate adjustment will apply on investments that are withdrawn prior to maturity.
