Gavin has had UDC Finance running through his veins for almost three decades, having been with the company for 27 years. As Regional Manager for the southern region, Gavin prides himself and his team on making a real difference and adding value for their clients.
Gavin’s extensive experience spans the agriculture, rural transport, forestry, aviation, tourism, construction, and civil contracting industries. There is no bigger thrill for Gavin (not even a bungy jump!) than supporting his clients with the management of their assets and ultimately seeing them succeed in their business.
When Gavin’s not hard at work with UDC, you’ll find him in the great southern outdoors - mountain biking, playing tennis, jet skiing and spending time with his two children. He also enjoys a smooth glass or two of red wine at one of Central Otago’s world class vineyards.
Matt brings a wealth of experience to the UDC team, with over 10 years in the banking and finance industry. He understands the importance of standing with his clients through the good times and the tough times, having worked in ANZ’s business banking team assisting SMEs at the height of the Christchurch rebuild.
Since joining UDC in 2015, Matt has managed a diverse portfolio of clients across the aviation, agriculture, forestry and transport industries in Otago, Central Otago and Wanaka. Matt thrives on working with clients to achieve their financial goals, whether it’s buying their first asset, business expansion, succession or becoming debt free.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, watching sport, and getting down to the local field for a game or two of hockey at the Albany Hockey Club in Dunedin.
Scott is relatively new to his Commercial Manager role at UDC, having started in 2023, but he is no stranger to the business having worked as a finance broker for over a decade. A Southlander through and through, Scott loves having the opportunity to play a part in seeing local business owners’ dreams become realities.
Scott’s career experience lends itself perfectly to his role as Commercial Manager. He has worked in Southland and Central Otago on a dairy farm and as a tractor driver, before managing and eventually owning a vehicle dealership and finance brokerage in Invercargill. Scott’s vast industry knowledge and large local network are hugely beneficial for his clients. He also loves nothing more than getting onsite with his clients and doing business face-to-face the good old-fashioned way!
In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending quality time with his daughters and travelling the countryside competing in speedway competitions.
